It has always been my view that where you live informs preference. For example, I am a long way from the FEDEX hub, so it is very common for shipments to be either late in the day or left at the local FRDEX store. UPS WorldPort in Louisville is the transition point for all overnight shipment to me, so weather there dictates reliability. Both are generally OK, but I have a slight preference for UPS. USPS I would not use for livestock, they’re just a bit too imprecise for my liking.

I am surprised no one has brought up the air freighters. By far the best way to ship livestock imho. Often same day arrival. I get a tracking number and flight number. Can do bill on arrival. Pick it up on my schedule.

I have used Delta, South West, and United without complaint.

What's that cost? Doesn't it have to be dropped off at the airport?

Not that I get much shipped but Airport to Airport is the best way. It costs more, it requires you (and the shipper) to go to the airport but even if it's delayed it's going to be hours not day(s).

It does have to be dropped off and picked up at the airport typically. which can make it inconvenient for many areas without a major airport nearby. Because I live near a major hub the shipping costs are not too bad, but there are a lot of variables that go into the pricing. I typically pay between 30 and 100 a box depending on, time of day, time of year, and the weight and size of the box.
