I visited Rudy from Golden Basket corals at a coral expo last weekend and he sells a concentrated liquid in tank treatment for red, white and black bugs. 1 drop per gallon for dips and 1ml per 100g for in tank treatment.

1ml per 100g??
1ml per 100 gallons for in tank
I think he said 1 bottle treats 600g
I didn’t purchase any bc I have a stock pile of interceptor already but a couple vendors I know have used it with 100% success and said it cheaper and more convenient to use than interceptor

We had this discussion in our local club, here was Rudy's full response. I picked some up a couple months ago from him but have not tried it yet.

Looks right to me

It's a regulated medicine that requires an Rx in the USA. Re-selling that would be a no-no without proper process/documentation/etc.
Than “he” better make sure
Not my problem either way

Just wanted to let ppl know there is an alternative out there

Legalities aside.

Something seems like it doesn’t add up. Do you get 600 drops from 1ml?

Is the viscosity so low that you can get 600 drops from 1ml?

How can you trust that it contains milbemycin oxime?

I don’t really like adding mysterious bottles that don’t list full ingredients.

Hey MR,

I'm of the opinion that it doesn't contain milbemycin. I fear that it's something that doesn't have much testing under its belt and share your concerns as well.

Like those that used ivermectin to treat pests in tank and eventually had catastrophic results, I think people need to be cautious with this until we know what exactly it is.

It's one thing to experiment, and another to blindly trust a product.

At the very least, the lack of transparency might just be because they're buying some off the shelf product that costs pennies and marking it up for a tremendous profit.

My friend picked this up from Rudy, who said it was “like interceptor”

I have contacted Rudy to buy it and he’s out of stock and gets it from these guys.

Rudy charged my friend $60 for this 6ml bottle, which treats 600g of water

Anyone who’s used milbemycin oxim knows it takes a while to fully dissolve in water. It took me over 30min to dissolve 6 tablets in almost a liter of water. Theres no chance they could possibly make it so concentrated to only use 1 mL per 100 gallons.

If something’s too good to be true…
