Here's is mine
This is an industrial normally closed solenoid that I got from my grandfather. This things at least 30 years old and running great, controlled by my Apex and float switches.

This is the tap when I bought the house was connected to a humidifier for the wood stove in the basement. I just don't use the humidifier and repurposed it for my Rodi system.

And of course my rodi system just screwed on the wall Under the Stairs and the (2) 32 gallon Rubbermaid tubs. The solenoid will turn on for a minute when rodi is called to fill the 32 gallon tub and every hour on the hour it will also turn on for a minute. That is for backwashing the membrane.

One for saltwater which I only needed a low switch so it shuts off the auto water change. And the other one is for RODI with a pmup for transferring water to the other Rubbermaid and the original ATO pump from tunze. 20230810_164436.jpg 20230810_164506.jpg

Half way through a 75 gallon tank tear down and build of a new 150 gallon. So this mess sits in my kitchen. 1/4 inch line run up over the pony wall from the RO/DI in the mechanical closet downstairs. I put the buckets one at a time in the green pail and let the new water flow in. Timer on my phone to hopefully let me know about when 5 gallons is done, green pail for all the times I forget about it. I have a small army of powerheads and old pumps that go in the buckets with the salt and let it mix for about a day, repeat.

When we talk about being practical with lack, lack of space in an apartment, I'm all in...buajajajaja . My RoDi is under my kitchen cabinets, when I need to refill my ATO, I run a water line to the tank reserve and wallah... If I need to make some fresh salt water about five or six 5gal empty salt buckets and a 13gal kitchen trash can make the trick. And when done everything goes back to the balcony storage room.

By the way there is Venus, "my water quality inspector" Buajajajaja!!!

Got a Twist 4 stage zip tied to a cheep dolly. Completely portable! Takes about 1hr 20 min to make 5 gallons so I make water at work and I usually never let it overflow.

RO Buddie screwed onto a couple 2x4's, sitting over half the laundry tub.

I have been using old spring water jugs for storage, but that's turned into a pain. I'm experimenting with using empty 5 gal buckets with some spigots I got on Amazon. I really have to get everything over to the laundry tub and away from my wood shop:(
Maybe next week...

I love it!
Here’s mine, almost ready for an upgrade to a new rubber maid bin.

Seeing fish tank stuff under the kitchen sink gives me PTSD. My wife becomes so unhinged at it that your picture is making me duck for cover in case she looks over and sees your picture.

Lololol. The title of this thread totally pulled me in. Ill try to post a pic later
Title is 99% of the battle when it comes to thread engagement. Please do. Believe it or not, this thread is giving me some really questionable ideas to work with in the future (See @PeterErc 's, precision doser and mounting apparatus)

Putting it on a dolly makes it way more hobo , I mean portable. That's a pretty good Idea actually. I'd steal it right out except I only have to drag my stuff about 10 feet.
I love it!

Doser is awesome. But the fact that you just threw your entire rig in a Rubbermaid, I feel, makes you the leader in the clubhouse.

Shameless bump. Let's see those water "stations" lots of new folks here that can use good ideas. Lots of old folks who can still use some good ideas.

It's water night. Going on vacation Monday. I need to get water changes on both tanks, ATO's topped off, and plenty of emergency extra for when I get home and need it. Hopefully I don't.
