@NotFishyFishGuy don't worry about the bristleworm. Great info above, If the population is out of control it's because the tank is over fed. They are beneficial and part if your ever growing eco system.

Dont get worried they are fine. Just catch them as you can. They are only an unsightly defect, but beneficial overall.@DSC reef I was cleaning the tank and found more bristle worms, about 5 or 6 on a single rock. Now I’m starting to get worried. Is there anything to kill the bristle worms? I already have a coral banded who doesn’t seem to be doing anything it them. There are now about 6 or 7 worm s in the tank and I only looked on one rock.
I wouldn't worry at all.@DSC reef I was cleaning the tank and found more bristle worms, about 5 or 6 on a single rock. Now I’m starting to get worried. Is there anything to kill the bristle worms? I’ll think about that Thks for the ideaIf you want you can put a piece of food inside a piece of a woman's stocking in with some floss or other rough material. Generally the bristles will get caught in the material and in the morning you can just throw away the trap with the attached worms.
Wait... now they sting?Smaller ones dont bother me but the huge ones get removed from my tanks. Hate the darn things. Also suckes to get stung by them. As for salt I currently use Fritz RPM and really like it. HW is my next choice. Both high quality salts that are not super expensive, mix clean and have good levels of alk, cal and mag.
Thought they were bristle worms sryLol yes they sting that's way they're also called a fire worm.
This is how we learn my friend. That's what's great about this hobby and R2R, I learn all the time:DGot it thanks for the lesson. Not trying to cause your thread to become a word debate on the subject fishguy, just giving an opinion of what I've been told and read about. But I do always like learning something new.
That was not my intention.Yeah I was very impressed when I joined R2R, but I have also seen stupid debates over pointless issues. Just dont wanna be involved in that.
