I personally thought the article was lacking a little proof of anything. If we need to dose iron and pottasium than why so many people who run beautiful SPS tanks with out this stuff.?

I know firsthand that there is some truth to the article, if you run a low nutrient tank. I test for Iron among other elements and they occasionally run low, especially if you over skim.

I'll find the reef2reef link but all that was discussed here as well. I think it was a year or so ago.

I agree....

For me, the suggestions in the article have no value. Those elements suggested for dosing are a very minute percentage of saltwater content & can be replenished with water changes.

I do think the suggestions pertain more to some one that is running one of those full blown commercial bio systems where you are initially striping the water of so many elements only to have to buy them to put them back in.

Btw, if anyone can direct me on where to find a naturally yellow acropora I'd be very appreciative.

No thanks, those are a dime a dozen around here & even Tryree calls it lime green colored. I'm sure under certain conditions it has a more yellowish look to it, especially at the tips, but I'm talking about yellow like this pic.
