Don’t ask me how because I have no idea. I was gluing some frags onto some rocks, and the next thing I know I see this.

I just tried feeding and it is not interfering with eating. Will it just fall off eventually?

I will leave the actual advice to people who have more experience, but I would think that the best course of action would be to monitor the fish, because as long as the super glue isn't impeding its ability to eat, eventually it will slough off the fish's skin.

I would be concerned that netting and physical removal could lead to an open sore that could be an access point for infection.

Hope everything works out for the best.

Yes, it should fall off in a day or so. If they see a blob of glue floating around the tank, they feel compelled to give it a nibble.

I had the same thing happen to a royal gramma. After 2 or 3 days it was gone.

Thank you so much! I never heard of this happening before. I guess it isn’t that rare.

I thought the same about trying to catch it. Sounds like it will just fall off.

After the first time I've been really cautious about it. I'm worried one might actually swallow some next time.
I will be a lot more careful moving forward. Thank you!

I've never personally experience this, but it has come up, and as others have said, it usually just falls off.

Good luck here!

I didn’t think, until today, that anyone had ever experienced this. I thought this was a first! 🥴
