Was able to pick up this fiberglass bin used. It was pre-cut with a 2 inch drain. I put in a new bulkheads and returns nozzles. I hooked up Ecotech Vectra L1. Super quite! For a skimmer i decide to go with Tunze 9415. I have used Tunze skimmers in the past and love them. I decide to go with Tunze 3155 for the ATO as it too is tried and true. For lighting I will go with LED to kick it off. I have two AI Hydras & 2 AI Hydra 52's laying around so why not put those to use. (Considering using a T5 LED COMBO W/ATI)
To get the system started I used a 35 gallon tote bin as a sump, after much debate I will be switching out the tote bin for two 40 gallon br tanks. One will be used as fuge and the other for the skimmer and return. Started the system with dry rock to avoid any unwanted hitchhikers. Thinking of adding a Pure Marine Block for surface area. As you can see it is in progress, so open to suggestions! what improvements can i make!
