I’m planning to build a 4’ x 8’ x 14”/or16” frag tank aswell as around 125ish gallon sump

Are there any pro to a center overflow vs a typical side overflow and also I’m wanting to do a closed loop for flow to eliminate power heads is this possible using “cheap” Amazon pumps

UNS had a frag tank at reefapalooza with a center overflow and they sell them now.

It had some serious flow with just the return pumps.

I think the only downside could be the hassle to deal with an overflow that’s hard to reach

For a tank that huge. I would think you’d want some surge pumps. I think panda rhei has some strong pumps for closed loop systems

Doing it without powerhead is totally possible - especially if you utilize our the Random Flow Generator.

We actually have a video on just that - is short, but shows a few examples on how to do it. One example is a 10ft x 4ft and 18 in flat.
