Hey everyone! I have just started to put frags in my frag tank and looking to add a couple fish for pest control and any algae. The tank is only 9" tall and I've already had a wrasse jump the coup. I do have a blenny in there that seems to be calm and not want to fly. Any suggestions for fish that possibly won't jump? I know all fish pose that possibility but just curious of suggestions.

Greetings and welcome to the reef! Sorry to hear about the carpet surfing. Normally I would suggest a six line and a blenny, but in this case probably not without netting. Hopefully someone else has some solid reccomendations. Happy reefing!

Welcome to R2R! Tangs aren't usually jumpers but any fish can and will jump given the right circumstances. In general, the fish that we normally consider the bullies in the tank are less likely to resort to carpet surfing. You'd probably be best served by putting a net or screen cover over the tank most of the time.

Welcome to the Reef!

What are the overall dimensions of the tank.

For pest control, I don't think you'll be able to beat a Springari damsel in the case of a shallow, open top frag tank.

I have them in every tank for their flatworm appetite.

They also go Down when they get scared. Not up.
