Hi guys, I have a large frag system and have glass covers for almost the entire top except a small section towards one end. Day one of fish and one of my wrasse jumped and I had the lids already so slapped them on. I am aware that these lids unless kept exceptionally clean (which I do daily) will reduce light levels getting to the corals. Do you have lids on your frag system and either way what is your reason? I am considering removing them to enhance colour and growth although I’m not sure what to expect. The amount of water that collects on the underside is unbelievable so I quite like the thought of it all not humidifying the room and having to use more of my ATO tank. I think the amount of water collecting on the underside of the lids will be reducing par quite a lot on its own. I lift them and angle them to allow this water to drip back into the tank once or twice a day.
