Fragging Frogspawn

So, how deep do Frogspawn heads go into the skeleton? I have the one pictured below, and I’d like to frag off the head(s) circled in yellow. I believe it is safe to do at the red circle since I believe that below the flesh covered area is just dead coral. Am I correct in this?

(sorry for dark picture, but skeleton. Is completely covered during daylight)
