I know many of us have been shipping for new stuff for are tank for Xmas or for that new upgrade for the new year. Well last week amazon was hacked and 30,000 passwords where released. I recommend changing your password and double checking your bank and credit card accounts. I guess my password was one of them, but they only got a $1.50 out of me before I informed the credit card company. Don't let your new purchase for you tank cost more then it should have. Its a little late to be informed but better late then never.

Thanks for the heads up.I personally did not order anything from Amazon this last week.Although it would have been nice to hear about this from Amazon.

Yea, I have not seen any news release from banks or amazon that they were hacked a source would be great.

The only thing I could find that was within the last month was a list of around 13,000 accounts but that total included several sources, some of those being amazon. The article also stated that based on the info in the file the info was coming from hacked user computers/devices and not from the retail websites being hacked.

It's been happening every were so I would just change your passwords and pay attention. My bank just sent me a new debit card since home depot was hacked and I used my card there. Target was hacked for millions of accounts awhile back so were a few others. I seen it on 60 minutes. They sell your credit card info for a few bucks and can take you for a lot.

And as the article states, this is most likely coming from a breach of the users computers and not a hack of Amazon.

I use a encryption software so that anytime I open any banking, personal account, or make an online payment/purchase it encrypts that web page and make it secure which the software is automatically updated daily. I still think it came from amazon. I have reported it to amazon. They said they will look into it and they do there best to secure any personal info. I'm not saying don't buy from amazon or any company. I still make purchases there. Making a purchase anywhere with a credit card is taking a risk. Part of electronic technology there is a weak spot some where in the system. Not trying to make a big deal just trying to give my fellow reefers a heads up. Take it for what it is.
