Hello

Dr. D, first of all, please allow us to express our sincere gratitude for your comprehensive feedback. We fully understand your concerns about product diversity, trial process and technical compatibility.

Regarding the misunderstanding of "pressure" that may be caused by the trial activities, this is absolutely not our intention. We set up the review activity mainly to better collect user feedback so as to continuously optimize the product, rather than to ask for dishonest evaluation. This may be a problem caused by the error in communication. I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding.

At the same time, we will also conduct a comprehensive reflection on product planning and technical support, refer to your suggestions, and strive to improve product quality and user experience.

Thank you again for your support and feedback, thank you!

I think we understand each other perfectly. It’s very possible everyone else here is fine with this sort of thing, but it’s ruining online commerce. I think half the reviews on Amazon are fake now, or at least influenced by such “trial activities” with the manufacturer, disclosed or not. I’ve run a very large organization, spending many millions of dollars a year on marketing activities, and I’d never allow my promotion people to do this. That said, I’m sure you’re a nice person just doing your job; someone must have taught you this is acceptable. Perhaps it is now, and I’m the flaw in this system.

I feel like a grumpy goby in the sand, and I’ll retreat to my hole.

Hello Dr. D, thank you very much for your patience and candid feedback. We fully understand your concerns about the impact and possible misunderstandings associated with trial campaigns, especially regarding the authenticity and integrity of online reviews. The phenomenon you mentioned about Amazon reviews, we also realize that this is indeed one of the challenges facing e-commerce platforms today. We value transparent and authentic user feedback and always want to get valid opinions the right way.

We know that honesty and trust are the most important principles in the marketing process, and we fully understand what you said about the consideration of personal values and corporate behavior, and respect your position. In fact, your feedback is invaluable to us and reminds us to be more careful in how we design and promote trial campaigns to ensure transparency and fairness.

Thank you again for your sincerity and feedback, we will pay more attention to these details in the future work, and strive to create a better experience for users. If you have any further suggestions or cooperation, we can give you a discount, feel free to contact you.

We wish you all the best!

This would be valid if they were requiring 5 star reviews. They simply ask you to leave honest review, and afterwards, they refund you in full for the product. If someone feels pressure to leave a good review, that’s on them. There is nothing in the message you quoted even implying the review must be positive in order to get the refund.

Apparently I am alone. Not the first time.

I am always willing to give honest video feedback of saltwater aquarium products on my channel and on product page reviews. Note however, that my interests align with consumers, not companies. If a product is truly worth it, then the results will speak for themself. I will share any shortcomings regardless.
