Ok above is a picture of my frogspawn. I have had it for 5 months. When i originally got it, it fully opened for the first 2 months. Started on the sand bed (Fully opened) Then i put it a little higher the the Purple Hammer you see in pic Medium Light, Moderate flow) and was fully opened for about a month and a half in low to moderate flow but then was all down hill from there. In the last 3 months I've tried the sand bed again (Low Light Low Flow) left it there 2 weeks did not open. Tried (Moderate light, Low Flow) did not open. Now it is where it is in the pic on sand bed even less light and low flow. The 2 hammers right next to it in pics do great. CONFUSED.

The Frogspawn gets thick arms throughout the day but only comes out as far as in pic.

ORIGINAL PIC in first 2 months (Middle top rock)

Tank has been running exactly 1 year.

Parameters:

Alk- 8.6
Calcium- 430
Magnesium- 1400
PH- 8.2
Salinity- 1.026
Temp- 78
Nitrate- 3ppm
Phosphate- 0.030

I dose BRS 2 part to keep alk, calc, and mag stable.

Does it look like it is dieing? I have 41 corals in my tank between zoas, softies, LPS and SPS and they are all doing great just the one frogspawn does want to open ever. The only other option is up high with high flow and i have ReefBreeders Photon V2's for light i believe the coral would cook. Or maybe in a very far corner with very little light and absolutely no flow.

Any ideas........

I'm not really seeing any "brown jelly" on the skeleton, but it sure doesn't look too good. You might want to give the coral an Iodine dip and see if that helps.

Yes i inspected it no sign of brown jelly. I see no pests to the visual eye. And for about 3 hours of the day it doesn't come out anymore then it looks in the pics but the arms get fat and puffy then it shrivels back down. I'm upset because if you look in the 2nd pic it really looks nice opened.
