I can't remember if this was a frogspawn or a hammer. I know they are similar. Anyway I picked this up for $40 dollars only to discover it has 3 heads and a 4th that just started. Did I get a good deal? It's been in the tank now 18 hours after a KCL dip. I think placement might be a little off as it is below a short overhang. Does it seem healthy? Am I right on the identification? Thanks. This is my very first coral I've ever bought or have had in a marine tank.

Looks more like a hammer but could be a frammer. It appears healthy, nice flesh bands. Yes good price! You want it in medium par and moderate random flow so it’s gently swaying. I find the best specific coral care instructions on Tidal Gardens website.

Ok I kinda just wedged into a nice opening but want to glue it down. it didn't come on a frag plug rather a piece of a rock branch. Frammer huh, I'll have to check that out. Thank you.

It's a baby hammer!
Mine is quite big.

ok i see it, the thing is the tentacles have circular tips rather than that normal hammer head shape which is why I was a bit confused. Guess it has a lot of growing to do.

Looks like a Bicolour Hammer, maybe Reverse Bicolour but I will never understand the difference between them.

I am leaning more towards a Frammer. I have one that looks very similar to these. The circular purple tips are a give away.

Yes, now that I moved it to a new location it seems much happier now and has opened up. To me it looks just like the picture from DD0513. If its a hammer than I would guess I got a really good deal for $40. It has 3 small heads and 1 new head. Here is what it looks like now.
