Speaking of "WOW-ing" the customer.... Today I got a text from Joe asking if it was acceptable to release "The Fringe" to the shipping company, who would coordinate delivery. Literally within hours, I received a phone call from R+L ; the conversation went like this....

R+L Rep: Hi, can I speak with Mr. Dodge please?

Me: This is he

R+L Rep: We are calling to set up delivery of your package. I believe it is, um, an aquarium. Right now we are able to deliver within 2 - 5 days, and we will provide a 1 hour delivery window.

Me: Oh, that is awesome. Can we do Monday?

R+L Rep: Well, we thought Saturday may be more convenient, would the work for you?

Me:  . Well, I am going to be out of town on Saturday, is there a different day we could do?

R+L Rep: How about Wednesday?

Me: **Checks phone**. Sure, the 15th will work.

R+L Rep: No, I mean Wednesday, the day after tomorrow.

Me: ;Dead
**wakes up** Yes, that would be Great!!!!

R+L Rep: Great. We will arrive between 11am and 1pm. Our driver will call you when they are 1 hours away. Thank you.

So..... Not only is Glass Cages working around a 4-5 week lead time, but their shippers are working on as little as a 2 day delivery time.

I continue to be amazed.....

Thank you @Joe Glass Cages !
Thanks so much for the feedback. I love that!

tell us more about this step please :D

Sure! Thank you for the question. This is actually a direct continuation from the previous set of stand build pics. To create the formica-lined recesses, this is how I did it. I glued the formica to each individual piece of plywood, and then flush -trimmed with a router. I then connected each formica-lined side together to create the recesses. Then I connected the recesses to the framework, which you see in the pics that followed.

Does this answer your question?

well i cannot push too fast ,i did not see lights yet ;) but def scape time!!,are you starting all dry rock or seeding with some live also?

Sure you can! I will provide a sneak peek at the lights tomorrow.... Yes, I have some dry rock cooking now, and the contents of my 110g (very mature) that I will add to this system. I have the scape completely worked out. It will be 3-4 formations, with about 8 rocks total. Lots of negative space, and room for the fish to swim.

This system was originally seeded with live rock directly from John Coppolino's (Copps) system...

This is beautiful. I spoke with @Joe Glass Cages about a tank i want to build, he is a crazy awesome guy. Answered all my questions, did a little fun video for me on the durability of the glass (watch out for bowling balls), and got me a preliminary quote. He went above and beyond.
Im hoping to finalize late summer and get my tank on order from him. Have to buy the perfect house to put the tank in first. Your system is fantastic. Can't wait to see it come together. I'll be following along for sure.
