Fromia diet include asterina?

Usually if you ask someone about starfish diet they'll mumble something about "biofilm". I caught this guy apparently munching on asterina stars twice now. Could it be??

Beautiful! I'm really glad you shared that cause I've wanted one for a while and I've got plenty of asterina :)

Beautiful! I'm really glad you shared that cause I've wanted one for a while and I've got plenty of asterina :)

That's not to suggest that asterina are a staple of their diet. Some have suggested that eating asterina is a response to not having enough biofilm for them to feed on. They can be kept but it needs to be in a pretty mature tank.

Amazing how little we know. May not add anything else for some time anyhow. I like asterina. Think they eat film algae if I had to guess from watching them. Hopefully they dont get wiped out.
