hey fam!

So I have a 32 gallon AIO fiji cube. And the rear chamber set up (from what everyone’s telling me) is awkward. So there’s two sections on each end for media basket or filter sock. Then on far left same size compartment for like a heater or something. Then middle (biggest compartment) is the return pump! I feel like this could’ve been planned out better so that big area where return pump is, I can add rocks or make a refugium.

Does anyone have the same one? If so? What’s your set up! Or any ideas welcomed!

why wouldn't you be able to put rocks back there. sure you can. most likely need to break up the rock to fit or you can use other media like matrix or marinepure. I personally use marinepure spheres in my two aio's.

Sorry, missed your post and became a late response. Still hope this might help a bit.

I upgraded to the same Fiji 32 AIO from Waterbox Cube 20 about 2.5 years ago. This is how my current equipment arrangement in the back chambers.

Right chamber houses a chaetos basket submerged beneath the floss filter basket, and with DIY LED grow lights attached to the back of the tank (ref. to my other posts if interested of the LED grow light.)

Middle chamber houses a return pump, 2 heaters, a bottle of Seachem Matrix bio media, top-off water and Kalkwasser solution dropping into this chamber as well. Magtool DCSQ-90 protein skimmer occupies the chamber next to it. Skimmer cup looked clean b/c it got cleaned up yesterday.

The leftmost chamber houses a multi-bio media basket sitting on top of a submerged bottle of Seachem Matrix.
