So I’m setting up a pico tank and have a lot of left over live sand that I bought. I was thinking about adding it to the fuge on my main display tank. All that’s in there now is cheato. I took the rock out that had been curing to use for my pico tank. Should I do this or should I just toss the sand out?

If I add it to my fuge would I have to siphon it regularly? My tank is BB if that makes a difference

No just as needed. Just remember it will hold fish waste and food not eaten too. But it will need to be kept clean too. And when you do clean the sand just do a small section at a time. To much can cause problems when really nasty.
