So I am a day away from doing my weekly water change ( I know some don't so chime in anyway ). I notice all the corals are larger than usual. Is that because they are content , or in need of nourishment? Or am I out to lunch

Those look happy so water is just how they like it. Good time to check all parameters for a baseline.
Also after 30+ in this hobby I have found and practice 5% monthly WC.
Let the tank ride for another week with no WC and evaluate.

This, so many people chase the general guidelines. The guidelines are great to get an idea but its important to know what actually works best for your system. If you really wany to know the specifics you could do an ICP test.
