My tank is my first reef tank and I am slowly applying my knowledge to the hobby and enjoying every moment of it! My tank was started on April 25 2020 and I plan and starting another tank soon and not making all the mistakes I made from this tank.

Loving everyone's tanks! Here's a few progression pics of mine. If I had more money I'd have more coral and inverts but I want to get a bta so badly. She still needs some work but I just recently found out that asterina's eat coralline so thats why I don't have a lot of growth there but hopefully I'll see more after I get rid of them all.

This was when I upgraded from a 7g back in september of 2018.

And this was from a few days ago.

Ok in first pic is when I did my very first tank(55gal) and I went 100% fake. Because I was only planning on having seahorses, plus I knew absolutely nothing at all about reefing,, I was home from work one day and awls I did was Google seahorse chat and it brought me to the seahorse forum in R2R,, that’s when I first herd of good bacteria. Up until then I was doing 100% rip cleans every two weeks or when water got cloudy
I would wash the whole thing inside and out scrub all the space plants with hot water never ever ever soap are you passing scrub the whole thing inside and out again hot water no shake and then I would possibly thoroughly wash the gravel through my wife’s spaghetti strainer ( wife loved that) Then I would dry everything upput it all back together in the tank fill it up with 100% ocean water and then put my seahorses back in. And I did that for two years with 2 20gallon tanks with 13 seahorses in each tank
The way my tank looks today I owe to the awesome people of this website and the other website that I am on. Today I have a 65gal tank that is totally alive with corals fish tons of seahorses and I feel looks great so far. It’s only 8 months old

Mine is a story that works.in reverse ! The frag tank you see is where I have started here while.i build my display the way i want it, then the coral will be moved and the next phase begins! Please forgive the eye candy. I couldn't resist since they will be in the new DT
