Any idea what would cause my fungia plates to retract their tentacles?
They are haven't released their tentacle for about a month.
They are still eating and opening their mouths.

Salinity - 1.025 (Brightwell NeoMarine)
ALK - 8-9dkh
CAL - 460
MG - 1500
PO4 - .05-.08
NO3 - 10

They are in the sand bed of my tank and getting about 80PAR.

Example below......

May want to look at your ammonia levels. Also, are your parameters consistent or have they fluctuated lately? I find with any temperature spikes my fungia get grumpy. The other thing to watch for is nipping from fish. Finally, you could try moving it to a shaded region. If it's still eating fine, something is probably irritating it.

Yes...my parameters pretty consistent, but I did add a green clown goby, about 5-6 weeks ago, which tends to nest in that area. I've never seen the goby nip, but it could be happening at lights out.

Clown gobies LOVE perching. Might be worth looking into. Otherwise it appears healthy and isn't bleached, so it should be ok if that's the cause.
