I have this piece of Fuzzy Watermelon Millepora that I got in trade. The coloration of this piece is insane. The problem I am having is with the polyp extension. I have quite a few other pieces of milli that have great PE. About a week ago I took a chance and moved it closer to the other colonies. It is definately a slow grower compared to my others. All water chemistry is in check. Cal. 440 alk 8 ph 8.2-8.4 and all other goodies undetectable. I feed every other day to every 3 days.

It seems healthy otherwise. Bulbs should be replaced soon. I could see if other milli's were the same, but i am just not sure.

Any advise would be welcome.

ya i agree. what ive found out tho is that they need to stay in the same spot about a day or two to extend the way that meens there happy

hey i have a watermelon milli and it never really came out like "most millis" do. the polyps are mine are very visible but not very far out

Just make sure it has a good bit of flow. In my experience millies love high light and flow. Keep us posted on it.

My watermelon mille has shorter polyps then all my other milles as well.

my PE covers the skin like most milli's and I hate it :(. I do have a small frag that broke off and I put it on the other side of tank, its PE is minimal and colors on skin are much brighter than the one with lots of PE.
