I have a platinum clown that I got about two weeks ago and have noticed a small white fuzzy growth on the bottom of one of his gills and it is slowly getting bigger. I cannot get a good picture of it because he is too quick. He seems to have a quick respiration rate but its been that way since i got him. He's eating extremely well and has normal poop. I will continue to try to get a picture.

I am asking for possibilities of what this could be.

This is the best one i could get

I can't make out anything in the pic. Could it be a lesion from running into a rock?

It could be a parasite. Can you QT?

I looked at him an it looks like its came off last night. I can't qt until i get my upgrade done and free up one of my 10 gals.

I would just keep a close eye on him. How long would you say he had the bump?
