What % are people running their schedule at

I'm running ab+ but have had to drop my schedule down to 35%, to the eye it doesn't look.too bright, but I'm getting the following par readings.

Probally not an ideal colour, but it's in orange in the photo
Wow, I just set up a hybrid with G3s & 2 B+,1 C+ and 1 Actinic. With onlw front B+, C+ I see a 20-30 par increase and have yet to turn back on. What did you check par with?

Only a seneye, but I bought it based on the BRS review they did when comparing it to other par meters.

I guess the low % on the G5 blues is because ab + uses 100% on all channels . I assume the G5 pros would need a higher % as it doesn't fully utilize all the channels

The Seneye is actually a good device for this. Sure, there are better meters but the general consensus is that it is well worth the price for the PAR/PUR meter alone. If/when you do use the dics the Ammonia is very accurate and the out of water alert is handy. $200 bucks is worth it to me. Just need to make sure you have a good handle/stick to level it for more accurate readings.

OP - the font color of the measurements is a bit hard on the eyes to see. Not sure what color would have been better but it took me a minute :D

Lol I did think that about the font... After i had posted .

I did take reading with the seneye flat, but according to the seneye website the lense has to be pointing towards the light source you want to measure, that's what the par numbers in the photo are based on.

"Also on their website.

" It is essential that this window is kept clean so readings are accurate. To ensure the device is clean always rub it with your finger tip and rinse off, then examine it. Always face this window at the light source you wish to measure in an appropriate position"

Also

"The seneye is not fitted with a cosine corrector to cut down on light noise and only report what it is looking at. For this reason, it is important that you position the seneye light meter where you want to take readings and that it is facing the light source. "

Even though it's on their website i've emailed them to confirm this

I'm doubting those #'s at 35%. Just doesn't seem right.

Ok , that's different. You took the readings at 100%? By your post I was thinking you took them at 35% . I would bump that up over time. 10% per week.

Tenuis likes high par. Where is your UV at? Take it slowly with UV. I don't have Radions. I have Mitras lx7's. Your Monti on top should have been affected before the tenuis. Monti can take the heat. Just slowly.

I have an Apagre meter and running my light at 50% overall intensity. Half way up my tank in the middle I’m getting about 300 PAR.

Are you running blues or pro, and how high above the water line?

If pro it would make sense they need higher overall intensity as not all of the LEDs are being utilised to their full potential. On the blues all colours have their sliders at 100, pros and blues running ab+ 50% should see the blues putting out more par

This is what I'm running, if seneye is in the general ball park of the more expensive then it should be the correct par readings.

Still waiting for seneye to respond toy questions about pointing the lense towards the light source as this gives a higher reading than keeping it flat.
