followingWell it’s been a few weeks since my last post. My wife and I found a new home and from putting our on the market and selling in 7 days we then had 14 days to move and be in the new home. Wow what a pain moving a fish tank was. I pretty much just put the water in barrels and filled the tank back up but put all the fish and coral in a 20 g qt for a week. Today I finally had a chance to get the big tank set back up and do the scape, I knew there was no way to replicate what I had before so I just decided to do something different and I really like how it turned out, lots of room for coral placement now. The fish had ich score I moved them so I am going to let the tank go fallow for 90 days and treat the fish during that time. My female clown won’t really let the male out of small spaces so he is going to go in the big tank first and have her go in a week or 2 later, hoping that will curb her aggression.
The wife today did say wow, there is more room for coral which I never thought she would say haha.
Here are some pics of the process.
Thanks @JumboShrimp, I was trying to make it look a more natural and create more room for coral.Like the rockwork— placement is very natural looking.
I think you are crazy, I really like your scape! Now that we are all moved I may have to get that RBTA from ya if the offer is still there!Looks great! I wish I had the knack for aqua scaping. My artistic abilities tend to be more along the lines of dump and run!
Brother I have one with your name all over it. You just have to pick which one out of the 13 you want!I think you are crazy, I really like your scape! Now that we are all moved I may have to get that RBTA from ya if the offer is still there!
Or which ever one come off the rocks first!Brother I have one with your name all over it. You just have to pick which one out of the 13 you want!
What are you thinking about stocking this time around? Thanks Jay, I’m much happier with this scape. Lots more room for coral. Now if the wife would get on board with a fish order that would be great.
Been on the lookout for a small one spot foxface and divers den has one. Looking at maybe a few wrasses or anthias. What are you thinking about stocking this time around?
Nice!Just ordered these guys.
Great looking system... and I agree with the others that the new scape looking really good. You might consider going more like 90 days fallow just to be sure. I'd also urge you to take your fish through TTM to ensure they are ich-free. Then continue their time in QT... but it would have to be a sterilized QT. Copper will not kill all the ich life stages. Grammas are ich magnets and they MUST be treated before adding. The foxface are cool fish but keep in mind they get pretty big. It could end up looking awkward in your tank. They also get really shy and reclusive if they feel they don't have enough space.
Can't believe the deal you got on this setup. Very nice!
