LEDs in series, one driver per string. Drivers all connect to the power supply individually. You've got it right.

Thanks. I’ll do some in depth reading re: new thoughts on spectrum, and come back.

Appreciate it!!

@Lingwendil something like this with a Kessil look alike in place of the bulb

Something like this maybe?

If we change the shape to be reminiscent of an LED star that would be rad :)

They were available, just not really advertised. I bought my last one in ?July? of 2017, after sitting on the idea for a long time.

I have no idea why they weren't advertised more, they would have been really popular, and the price is very fair- I paid $60 for mine (20") at the time on special, plus maybe $10 for the fan. I have a feeling they didn't sell well enough and are being discontinued.

What I really miss is the T-slot profiles heatsinkUSA used to do, they were really nice for large fanless setups.
I am running three of the 20s over my 125 and love it! A lot of space to do what I want. I just seen them a month ago.

If the price is in line with existing offerings I would be interested in a few to start, if it helps you reach the 20pc minimum.
Jeff is cool. I might get a few if it's a decent price.

Let me see what he can do and I will come back with the results. So what do you guys want, just a C x ES x ES or C x SP x SP ?

What do you guys think of these layouts ? I will need to order 2 cool blues and 2 cyan's to fill in some spectral gaps:

Outside row L : 1x 430,3up 2x RB 1x WW,1X 410-420
Middle Row: 3x Violet,1x Mint,3up 2x RB 1x NW
Outside Row R:1x 410-420,1x 3up 2x RB 1x WW,1x 430.

6x Violets surrounding 4x RB,4X TB,2 NW,2X WW,1 Cyan.

Middle Row:Violet,Mint,Violet.
Bottom Row:Violet 3up,Violet

so looking at ideas for a diy refugeum light that also is somewhat ok to look at too. looking at the freshfocus Cobs. this time the marbled Meat, big peaks at 660 and 450 with a bit of green so you can still get a semblence of white light. thinking one of those on a heatsink hung over a 16x16 refugeum.

Yeah, I was looking at those a while back. I get the feeling that they would have a similar look to the old school fluorescent "colormax" types. I was thinking they may be nice for a macro tank with a bit of other colors (regular blue maybe) thrown in for some adjustment potential, could be a nice way to farm chaeto (or similar) en masse.

Well, I hooked up the pendants just temporary to get an idea, and they look pretty rad. Think super fancy version of a kessil or orphek cranked up to look like a 20k radium. Exactly what I was going for. Need a little more "warmth" but it's very, very close as is. Swapped a white for a neutral white, and then a lime. Lime looks best (No surprise) but the neutral also looked very nice- it would however need something like a cyan to offset the pinkish cast you get from all that red in it.

As always, pictures always look like Windex.

I'm thinking a 3up of violet, cool blue, and either amber or lime. Still undecided. Maybe amber on the 3up, and a mint to replace a white?

I was running 300mA on the k16, and 700mA on the whites/cool blue/lime. I'm thinking whites/lime(or mint) at 1A, cool blue/violet at 700mA, and maybe a 300mA for the amber? Should be nice and adjustable for look.

Currently running 1x sunplus white, 1x lime, 1x cool blue, 1x k16.
