I also grabbed a MP10 and backup battery just in case the power goes out. I don’t really need it for flow but I will put it on the back wall pushing into my right side rock tunnel. I have tested the IceCap Gyre and they make plenty of current for my current needs. Once things start growing in I’m sure changes will be made but for now I’m happy. I have a generator if needed (most of us Reefers in Houston Do) but unless I need to set it up and run it I won’t. Now I have to modify my little controller board for another Ecotech controller. It will bring some uniformity at the bottom. Lol

Got my first shipment from @AlgaeBarn for my fuge. Placed the blocks in to try and create a water flow direction for the Algea to tumble. I ordered red Ogo for now and might change over to cheato in the future depending on how and what me needs are. I do not plan on heavily stocking this tank, and the Ogo is much more interesting to look at I’m my opinion, so hopefully this will meet my nutrient stripping needs.

Love it, i spread my cubes out so that flow goes throughout them! ~Shaun K

I originally wanted to just cover the bottom of the fuge with the blocks but my change in return design takes up that space. My thought now was to put a small powerhead in the back lower corner to push flow through the bricks so I don’t end up with a stagnant area there. Either way I’ll definitely get flow through them. Thanks and I’ll be back for more pods for sure!

I have the trigger 18 cube sump, which has slits, and a maxijet pump pushing water through the fuge area into the cube :) ~Shaun K

I settled on a Pisces EXO clear view lid from @ArtFully Acrylic. Placed the order tonight. I know about the wait time and completely understand what it takes to make a custom product. (I made quite a few customizations to their already awesome design so I’m sure I added even more time) For me it came down to the look I wanted and, since the few fish I will put in this tank will definitely be jumpers, giving them the fewest options on escape makes me feel more at ease. That means feed doors and access points so I don’t have to remove the lid often. Now back to other projects while we wait. :)

Neptune controller board is done! Just have to finish setting up the plug ports naming and removing the masking tape labels. Turned out good if you ask me. Plugs open on the bottom will be for the CaRx and the Trident.

Now back to the small controller board. Got the MP10 setup and the backup battery. I wish the MP10 had a plug release for the cable to the powerhead without having to take the controller completely apart. Also it didn’t come with a controller mount..... really?.?. Now I have to source one.

Next problem..... I got a Hydra 32 for the center of the tank to eliminate the loss of light between the two 64s and I have run into a problem with the mounting. I have the WaterBox cut out overflow cover coming but found that The HMS AI light mount does not fit the correct way with the PVC return pipes blocking. Now if I flip it I can cut the reiser arm so it won’t be in the water but the tightening screws will still be in a salt rich wet environment and will most definitely rust and contaminate the water.... I’m now going to start looking for Teflon nuts and screws or maybe titanium. Definitely did not see this coming. My fault. ;Shifty

Waiting for the matching shade I ordered yesterday but I will say the light eliminates all the middle low light area and the 32 fits perfectly in the center.

Welcome to Germs Red Ogo fuge. I moved many of the blocks to open up space between and put a small pump pushing water directly into them.

I ended up moving the Gyer pumps to opposite sides and the flow is much better suited for my needs. Hope this video works.

Quarantine has a new addition. Mr. E. Wrasse has met his tank mate P. Tang. He definitely is watching with those eyes!
Both of these guys are juvenile. Purple tang is smaller than a half dollar coin and the wrasse is shorter than an inch.
