All corals are doing great! Now if I could just get the Tangs to behave..... Their antics have made the clownfish seek refuge in the back corner. Feel bad for those two. They just wanted their piece of rock to call home. Now I do find it interesting that the itty bitty Mystery wrasse seems to be playing the mediator and jumping between them to split it up regularly. I have a soap opera underwater going on. ;Hilarious
oh and I added a porcelain crab as well but I can’t get a good picture of him. I am starting to research cameras and lenses already. Can’t keep doing the phone pic thing. Lol

Well ICP test came back. I already knew about my phosphate and have since adjusted but had no ideas about my phosphorus. Hmmmm

And vanadium is up there as well. Strange. RO water came back fine with only slightly elevated silicone and I’m not worried about that.

Alright so I was over swapping out filter socks and looked up at the sand bed in the tank and I see hundreds if not thousands of pods!!! Now this is very exciting for me because I didn’t put any of the pods that came from @AlgaeBarn into the main display. I put them all in my refugium with the red Ogo and have been feeding there. So having the side fuge overflow back to the return pump chamber of the sump has already worked! This made me go take a look at the bottom of the fuge. Good grief the population density of pods in there is ridiculous. After seeing that I had to check out the frag tank that is the last tank that should see them since it is completely past all the mechanical filtration with filter socks and wouldn’t you know it’s packed as well. I’m going to start feeding all the tanks with phytoplankton now. That would be the fastest I have ever had a tank populate with pods like this. Very interesting and exciting to me.

So I’m finishing up my power brick mounting and wire routing behind the controller board and I get a delivery. Now I had always wanted to do supplemental lighting to go with the Hydras but I changed my direction from T5 to LED had to do a little modification to the light shades but it turned out really good. Now I can run a bit more white and let the LED strips take care of the rest. Soon I’ll be doing my PAR chart to see where I’ll be mounting the corals.

This is the week to start PAR mapping the tank and planning where to put which frag. Take the time to read up on the different characteristics of each coral you get and you can avoid most of the long term grow in problems. For instance encrusting montipora are very hard to get off of your rockwork once established and can take over prime real estate you might want for future frags. Some acros will grow very quickly and need lots of space while other will be slow and steady and need much less. I have run out of room on my frag rack so got to do something this week. I already picked out more additions and need the space.

Had a battle in my tank last night. This green Hydnophora decided that its neighbor on the frag rack was too close. Burned the Holiday Montipora pretty good. Just another reason I need to finish mount all these to the rockwork.

Already harvested once and it’s time again a week later. This worked way better than expected. Im going to dial it in to a harvest every 2 weeks. I have to dose nitrates and phosphates now daily along with calcium and alk. The CaRx should be up and running by Thursday. Everything is happy and water parameters are spot on. Already getting growth from the frags.
