Hello all,
I have always been into freshwater, and my family had a tropical fish tank growing up. In college, I tried saltwater and built a crazy 5 nano tank with a PVC overflow that sounded like a toilet and a 10 gallon sump (in my dorm room lol). I gave up a year later because... well, college studies and then moving all the time.

Anyway, now I'm fully employed and have a permanent place to set up a system. I started a 20 gallon and 5 gallon last year to get back into it. I love this hobby because it is challenging and rewarding. I'm into corals so, collecting frags and trying to fill out my nano right now. Anyone who knows me will say I'm a little obsessed..

Looking forward to sharing and meeting other aquarists here. I'll attach a pic of my setup.
Dan

Make sure to get good quality test kits such as salifert or Hanna brand and keep an eye on water quality as you have a very basic filter system and consider a hang-on protein skimmer such as Ice Cap K1-50 or K1-100
