What I had for lunch yesterday. Cajun mashed potatoes, and a loaded hamburger steak (onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese). It was good. 20150908_135307.jpg

I actually mailed KJ a care package of local things today. He seemed interested in local foods.
Now I am jealous !!!
Well I will be right back. Today is the first day of school for the 5 kids.
A quiet house all day !
BRB!!

Thank you!

So when are you taking me out for dinner? You seem to eat stuff that is unheard of around here!
I remember I worked with a guy who went college in Montana. He said people up north don't know how to cook.lol He had his momma ship him things from down here. Must have cost her a fortune to ship cold foods.

Hello fellow diver. :)

I'm a new reefer (my tank doesn't even have water yet, hopefully next week it'll get wet) and a newish diver. I've been diving about 3 years now. I don't get to go as often as I'd like because I live in the desert. Once my tank is up and running maybe when I start getting the itch I can put on my mask and stick my head in the tank. ;)

You like putting on that suit? Cause in my opinion, as far as my body is concerned, it would be squeezing ten pounds of potatoes in a five pound sack. Lol

You like putting on that suit?

I like getting under water and unfortunately that's part of it. I'm in CA so it's cold water (not used to that as a FL girl) so I have to wear a very thick Wet suit. I prefer warm water diving because, well I just prefer warm water, and because I don't have to wear a super thick Wet suit and a lot of extra weight. You learn tricks though that make it easier to get into it. You can slather yourself up with conditioner or baby oil for one. But I have what's called a dive skin. It's a very thin sort of Wet suit that I wear underneath and that helps the thick one slide on and off much easier. If you're in warm enough water you really could just wear a bathing suit but that doesn't give you any protection if you accidentally rub up against something sharp or stingy. If you ever have an opportunity to try it go for it. Don't let something like that make you miss out on getting the chance to see what an amazing world it is down there. And don't worry, everyone of every shape and size has to squeeeeze into them. They're intentionally supposed to be snug to help preserve body heat. Mine probably doesn't fit me anymore at the moment.

But I think I would have to get a little healthier before I start, but that's a dream for the future though. It would be cool to dive in Australia and Fiji.

Quite bashing on yourself as I see within you there is no need.
Come to Washington one day and fly into Yakima and I will show you what we eat around here :-)
