There was a good thread on reef threads a while back about high capacity GFO vs. regular, and the capacity of most of these is meant for higher levels than we are using them for, and their efficiency drops tremendously as the levels reach what we expect in our reef tanks. I.e. under 100ppm phosphate they are 90% effective, when you reach down into the .1 to .01 ppm ranges their efficiency drops precipitously; such that some of the benefit of "high capacity" is negated. Or at least that what I recall... someone correct me on that.
