Depending on your tank conditions you may not need a reactor.

I put a bag of GFO in my sump and managed to knock my phosphates down to 0 according to a Triton test. Ended up actually having to remove the bag from the sump.

Give it a try.

Same here. Reactor out few weeks ago. My readings are very low, I mean 0.00. so no need for using GFO. Will see later if necessary

Hi guys. A friend of mine living in the UK who does maintenance on aquariums for a living came up with the design and had the skilled guys at Ultra Reef build the prototype. We just received a handful of units to try out and put a few up for sale on UC. They are imported from Italy and aren't the cheapest but they are well built and work really well. Super easy to service which is the main reason to consider a unit like this.

AquaMaxx FR-SE GFO Carbon and Biopellet Hang-On Filter Media Reactor, easier to service than two little fishies imo.

Doesn't take anything fancy to tumble GFO. Like many have mentioned, simple BRS or TLF reactor will do.

I'd spend the money on a good biopellet reactor instead and just buy a cheapy one for GFO.
