Ok. big breath...You’re going to need to describe your issue.
What do you mean by ‘getting the system plugged in’?
doser, heaters, pad, lights....I am there, at that website, it's just very overwhelming, and it assumes you have it all hooked up. there's also a small box, that looks like it's for PAM plugs, but there's no way of knowing what it is.All of the English manuals are available for download at www.aquariumcomputer.com
There is nothing to the ‘brain’; you just plug the power supply in. If it came with dosers etc, then make sure you have the correct power supply. The Profilux uses 12v; everything else is 24v.
Which model Profilux is it? Do you have any other units or just the Profilux and PowerBar?

we cant hook up anything...other than power. There's no water even in the tank yet. I have a pile of stuff everywhere, just trying to figure this out. This looks like the Profilux 3 manual.

I have the 4 which is a bit different. I think trying to get everything set up at once would be quite overwhelming. The GHL system is good when you are used to it, but there is a learning curve to get through until you are comfortable with it.
I would start with the Profilux 3, power bar and sensors (you can start with just the temp sensor). Once you have that sorted then you can add other items. I wouldn’t try to learn all of it at once.
If you can post a picture (or any model numbers on it) of the small box then we can try to identify it.
so the main "brain" has to be plugged into the power bar vs just an outlet? If you have the correct power supply (the 12v one), then you should be able to plug that in , and the PowerBar, and start to look through the menus.
If it is lighting up but the buttons aren’t working, then something is odd. If you’ve plugged the 24v doser power supply into it then then can damage the Profilux.

do you have pictures? This guy literally threw all the cables for lights, dosers, UV pumps everything...In a boxNo, the connection are shown in the manual that I posted earlier. You should have a 12v ‘brick’ that plugs into the wall. The power bar plugs into the wall. The 2 are connected with a ‘data’ cable.
I dont have one. and online, it basically doesnt show/tell you how to even set it up out of the box. that's what I need...dumbed down step by step...or picturesHave you looked at the manual?
1.4.1 12VDC Here the DC plug of the shipped power supply is plugged in. Use only the delivered power supply unit!
I didnt get the box it came with. I got 38 plugs/cables/adapters in a box. so does that help? I'm not stupid. I just dont have the information that it was shipped with. the guy had this freshwater, and a mess. took it down, literally threw it in a box, and handed it over.Did you download the manual at the link I posted earlier?
There is a photo of the unit and explanations. For example, one line says:
I'm not sure how much more dumbed down it can get!
