Update: I got my new sensor March 20. My conclusion of the conclusion is still valid...

I had to go back to the conclusion and see what your conclusion was. Cliff notes below:

1. I've given up the idea of automated testing. It costs (moneywize, timewize, energywize, everythingwize) more than it gives and more compared to Hannas and ICP (even ME) once a week.
2. My tank doesn't need it! During this time something has happened to my tank - it's matured! Everything is thriving and growing, all parameters good and stable no matter what I throw on them - so (I'm sorry to say) scrap this forever and constant testing - I haven't graduated to SPS anyhow... And the day I do graduate to SPS I understand I will have the time doing Hannas as I'm going/have to stay with my tank constantly anyhow...

Edit: btw I noticed you mention ICP once a week. Do you really send them off at that frequency? That is expensive even if one uses FM's kits and buys them on sale (I've seen them as low as $13 USD.

Yes and no: my system has magically stabilized, so I don't need so frequent testing. And I've learnt that there are ICP tests, and there are ICP tests (OES vs MS). So: I do my Hannas weekly and when needed, and send off ICP-OES without hesitating (not weekly though) and MS infrequently (quarterly?). And $13 is not too bad considering the time saved, the accuracy (even with OES) and precision. And (referencing to my experience in this thread) relatively cheap even in actual $ compared to other solutions...

Fantastic! Given my history with Ukraine and first hand knowledge of your situation, I would be honored to also include the shipping.

In May 2022 I was in Dnipro, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Bakhmut, responsibe for setting up 8 ambulances from the frontline in Bakhmut to Dnipro for further patient transport to Kyiv via train. My greatest sympathy and admiration for you country and people. I don't wish you to be strong (I know beyond doubt you are), but I do wish the rest of the world to be strong; Slava Tellus!

The unit is received in war-torn Ukraine, but as I understand there is a need for a doser. I would say stay patient - but I'm excited and eager too! And I hope nothing bad happened - us fortunate to be outside of any war surely have an easy life and we have nothing what so ever to complain about.

Good afternoon. I received the ION Director at the end of May. Very grateful to PurePleX for the gift. I tried to use it, but several pumps of the GHL Doser 2.1 do not work due to wear of the rollers. Therefore, I cannot post any test results. I ordered an upgrade for the doser https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/usa/product/ghl-doser-3-pumps-upgrade-kit/. But GHL is postponing the shipment. I hope to receive this spare part by September and start posting some test results. The Equipment and reagents survived. Need to wait for spare parts.

I received a letter from the company 09.07.2025, but the Pump Upgrade Kit hasn't been sent yet. I thought it would be faster.

Dear Customer,
A few weeks ago, we informed you about a delay in the delivery of your GHL Doser 3 or Pump Upgrade Kit due to a quality issue with key plastic components. At the time, we had to wait for replacement parts, which unfortunately got held up in shipping.
We're happy to now give you a positive update.
Last week, the new parts finally arrived. We immediately began testing and quality-checking them. While the overall quality has improved, not all parts meet our strict tolerance of 0.1 mm. That’s why we are measuring and selecting each piece individually to ensure only the best components are used.
This extra step ensures the highest quality, but it also slows down production somewhat.
Nevertheless, we are glad to report: Production has resumed, and we will start shipping by the end of this week – almost exactly one month later than originally planned.
Due to the high volume of pre-orders and the more time-consuming production, it may take up to two additional weeks until every unit has been shipped.
We sincerely apologize once again for the delay and thank you for your understanding, patience, and trust. We're confident that the quality and precision of the GHL Doser 3 will exceed your expectations.
