GHL or Trident?

Hello Reefers, my local FS is setting up my Redsea 750 g2 this weekend. A couple weeks ago he was telling me how great the trident was and how the bugs have been worked out on them. I had one about 4 years ago and had too many issues and frustrations with it and sold it. It actually brought my enthusiasm of reefing down for a few years. Anyway, it seems my lfs cannot get the tridents. He called me and mentioned the GHL, and that he has a few people running them with good results. I have never heard of them till today. I have been out of the game for over four years and a lot seems to have changed. Any opinions on one over the other? Anything else I should consider?

GHL has been making controllers for reef tanks since 1998(I think). I have been using them for past 6 years and once you set them up they do work well and do last.
Initial setup can be challenging.
