GHL Profilux 2 level sensors - third function?

Greeting everyone,

I have GHL Profilux system with plenty of bits and one of them are two optical level sensors currently used as ‘ATO and AWC’ and I must say it works well with 3 Maxi Doser heads.

Now I just released I could have added a logic about lower sensor is not in a water for say 30 minutes it should trigger low water alarm for my pump, maybe even quicker like 5 minutes.
Currently this sensor is set to “inactive” (its all functioning, I’m talking levels screen of Profilux) and I was thinking switching it to ‘pump’… but not sure if it will keep working in both scenarios? I mean will it keep working for AWC?

Yes I know I can add one more sensor and do return pump low water protection, and I’ve done it with leak sensors and sump high water (skimmer and roller mat protection). So adding more sensors means I have to add a card, which will be my way to go if I can not do the work around with delay…
 
You can easy use the same sensor to different pump programs

Yes I understand if I set a function to a level sensor it can trigger multiple pumps.

I have sensor one and two. Number one is set to ATO and AWC with two sensors and second is selected in it’s settings.

Now can I use sensor number two, which is selected in the sensor one settings as ‘return pump’ and using programming logic delay?

I’m afraid setting a function to sensor number two will ruin awc, since its also selected in its settings?

I think its easier that you think - but you have to test The basic idea is to sett up a new circuit control that also use sensor 2 as a sensor - and knit this - probably as inverted to the outlet controlling you return pump with a PL

I guess it should work, but its not easy, since this sensor is also AWC, it means it will be triggered, this is why I want a delay, which seems fine - one line of programmable logic and it should work (well a few more since I have leak sensors), but it will not, because once return pump is off - it will be water from display going into sump, triggering low level sensor and it will be endless cycle.. so I need something to remember the state.

Looks like SR-Flipflop should be my solution and I already understood how to make it work, except one thing - how to reset it?

PS: probably I will have to make it a physical switch as I was planning to with PLM-ADIN… unless something else I’m missing?
 
If you use the flip/flop - why not use the upper level sensor as the reset? Make a third circuit control.

But if you think to make a physical switch (need manual interference) why do you not take away the automatically reset in the circuit control. When you have to manual reset . But if you do that - you will loose saltwater.

How long time do your WC take? If it is like 10 minute - why not just stop the pump during WC

The top one also will be triggered if return is off… i like to do water change without stopping return pump. I guess physical switch is a solution since if water in return is low for a while - this requires my physical presence.

Yes I can.

Anyway the whole idea is dead now. For some reason GHL Thinks run dry protection is when sensor should be DRY. If it's not dry it triggers DRAIN all the time. So I can not invert it, because then it will not work for AWC...

But WOW... GHL how is it your own description says:

My sensor is under water and you switches it to DRAIN??? Just wow!
