does anyone know when the touch will be back in stock or if it even will be. I assume this is a production issue with covid and all the main focus on the ion director but didn't want to keep waiting if it was never coming back.

Even before COVID, the talk was that it was discontinued. I tried to buy the GHL set with the Touch in Feb. 2020, and it was unavailable then.
I do recall chatter about a new revised Touch, but as you stated, with COVID, and the IOND, it probably got put on the back burner.

The app has made the Touch pretty much redundant...a cheap kindle or other tablet serves the same purpose
The touch display makes it easy to view and trigger commands as needed, even if your hands are wet and instantly without loading time.

It also allow remote view and control of Profilux LCD screen.

Touch alarm is less aggressive than Profilux.

^^ this +1 as someone with my DT in a different room as my filtration- a second hardwired interface to the profilux 4 would have been a nice add.

I have a touch. However, I wouldn’t buy one now. If you have a tablet which you can just leave the app on screen and connected, then you can do and see the same things - probably more - on the app vs a touch. In fact, I’d say the dashboard is nicer on the app than the touch display (just my view)

Not sure the load times are that painful, I can click a button on the app and there’s less than a second before the ghl reacts.

Hopefully you can find a used one if you’re insistent on the hard wire connection...but that’s your preference. Like I said, the app makes the touch pretty much redundant (unless you have such preference).

If using a tablet, an alternative to using the app is to log directly into the P4's local web page using the tablets web browser via your home network. Since this is direct, and doesn't go thru GHL's servers, it loads quick, and response is quick.
