Before I was born an indian grave was found very close to my current house in the edge of the woods. Archaeologists dug it up and took it for studies and such. Well, when I was really young the neighborhood kids and I walked through the woods all the time, building bridges, chopping down tress, etc. One day we were walking in the edge of the woods and I found a machete-like weapon made of solid wood and it had a handle made of hand made leather that was now solid and crunchy, if you will. This weapon was carved out of a branch and appeared like it was made to actually be used, not just a kid shaved down a branch to make a toy. I took this home and put it in my closet. As we continued to explore the woods around years later very weird things started happening. First, I was walking with a small group of my friends down the "main" trail in the woods and went about a mile into the forest, the point where trees are so tall the primary lighting is ambient or fragmented sunlight and where it is hard to determine your location, and the sun began to set while we were this far back. So we frantically ran back in order to get back to our homes before nightfall, so we wouldn't get lost in the woods. While we were approaching the edge of the woods we noticed a very large spear-like object was stuck in the dead center of the path that was not there before. This was not a fallen branch because it was not inserted in the soil perpendicularly. Also, this object was atleast a foot in the ground. I actually had to exert a lot of force in order to remove it from the ground. When I removed it from the ground I noticed that the ground-side of it was sharpened to a point, like a real spear-like object would be. I threw it on the ground and ran back home with the rest of my friends. A few years following that, my friends and I began to explore the creek/swamp sides of the forest, where we started creating legitimate bridges with railings and everything. My friends and I spent a week creating a bridge out of scrap wood, nails, logs, and rope that was very unlikely to be destroyed. After we finished it, we left it and came back the next day. After coming back the next day the whole things was gone. We used old tree house boards that were painted and very noticeable and everything was gone. The creek it was over is maybe 2 feet deep and 8 feet wide and then in flows into a brushy area. We searched down stream and could not find anything at all. Confused, we started building again. This time we used logs to build our bridge entirely. About 1 foot or more thick, we knew nothing would move these. After we cut those for a day we left them to come back the following day. The following day, all of our logs were gone. Once again, no sign of them anywhere. On this day we noticed numerous trees that were 1/2-1/4 a foot thick that were snapped in half around our location. This made us give up on our efforts at the bridge. However we continued to visit this location. One afternoon my friend that lived closest to the location went out there alone to build his own thing out of boredom. The following day he told us how every time he began to work he would notice a white "cloud/fog/figure" to the corner of his eye and he would turn to look at it and it would be gone. He finally searched for found and followed it onetime and actually saw it moving away from him. Out of disbelief I went to explore on my own and had the same experience once. I saw a white figure out of the corner of my eye and left the location immediately. After this we relocated to another section of the woods where a HUGE beaver dam was. While we were creating bridges here for weeks nothing happened. However one day we were working until dark to finish our project of the day and heard some bushes shake. We all though deer, fox, rabbit, etc. No worry, we see these things everyday. We continued working... Then we heard snapping branches followed by the noise of wood hitting another piece of wood. We were startled at this point because most animals cant lift large pieces of wood in this area. But, we continued working. We heard snapping branches again in a footstep pattern this time, NOT 4 steps, 2. The speed of the snapping picked up to the point where it sounded like a person running full speed towards us. As it got closer we began to hear "Crack! Snap! Pop! Clunk!"- the noises of large branches being broken in half. At this point we took off running. As we ran the noises followed us. We all were actually terrified because we thought this thing was going to catch us. It continued to follow us and once we stepped out of the woods... Dead silence. The only sounds were crickets and rain frogs...
