Giant clownfish versus tiny anemone

I have 2 large ocellaris that were at home in a wonderful almost basketball sized H. magnifica when 90% of inverts in my tank, including all anemones, got wiped out from heavy metal poisoning. The clownfish have been wandering around lost since. I looked around at local reefers and found a too-good-to-be true price on a BTA with nice colors. However when I drove out to pick it up, I got a golf-ball sized anemone. I was afraid what my clownfish might do, so it went into the frag tank.

Should I put it in my display now, or wait until it gets bigger? Anything I can do, such as feeding, to get it to grow faster?

They may fight over primary positioning on it, but will feed the anemone and help it grow. I recommend adding it so they can get used to it. Put it in an area where you want them to host it. You could also put it in a clay flower pot if you want to take it out and move it easily.

I've had big clowns beat small btas to death. I would start feeding it small meals every other day and in a couple months it will be more then big enough. They have the ability to grow surprisingly fast with regular small meals. Post a pic of your new nem. I'm sure we'd all love to check it out. I know i would.
