.GIF issues uploading from Galaxy S8

I can't seem to find a solid answer on this anywheres. I created a simple .gif on photoshop and it is saved to phone. I open it on my phone and it works just fine. I try to attach the file from my phone to a post on here, and it doesn't play. Does anyone know why? The first pic I dropped in from my computer. I will attach a second image from my phone to show you what I am having an issue with. TIA

Try this, go to your gallery and bring up the gif in question, swipe up and tell me what kind of file it is. Screenshot if you can

Ah I think I know. When you go to post are you using the attach files button or clicking the add image button above the text box on your phone.

Alright, I guess I can't use Google Chrome lol. It won't give me the option to click on the icons above the text box, but the regular internet browser does. Thank Crabs

Are they greyed out but the little gear icon is blue? Just click the gear icon and the buttons will unlock for you :)
