Hi all. I have a 6" CB gigas that seems to be splitting apart at the incurrent siphon. There is no open wounds, all the flesh seems to be healed and its otherwise healthy. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks

Charlie

How is it doing today?

I don't know much about clams, but maybe someone can jump on here and give you some advice.

it is an old injury. If you want it to heal normally, you may need to put a suture there. I don't think it will cause any harm

I have not seen that before, if it has been like that for months then you are probably good. if clams are going to die they do not hang on for long. Cool clam btw, take care
