Update:
There’s nothing much going on with the tank, it has cycled completely. It has two clownfish and a cheap sps (my guinea pig) to see if my tank is ready for sps.
There are a few changes coming up.
The most important change is the light, i just ordered this beauty.

Looked like a Radeon on there before. Any particular reason you changed to T-5?

During this whole build i have been undecided if the radion could grow corals... many posts exists and prove that radions are able to grow sps but i was too undecided until last week when i visited a friend of mine (who is keeping my sps for now) and i saw the growth and coloration he was getting from his t5’s... that is why i ordered the light.

This ATI is a LED and T5 hybrid so i should be getting the best of both worlds.

Today was a good day, i received my last order. Tank is cycled. I will set up the dosing this week and should transfer all my previous sps that my friend has been holding for me next week.
Now the fun begins

It’s been a while since i haven’t posted, a few things have been going on with the tank.
First, when starting the tank I used Red Sea salt and my ALK was at 12..
Over the period of two weeks I have been able to lower my ALK to 8.8 but by doing that my CA and MG levels also decreased.

I have been dosing Aquaforest CA and MG. My parameters are not perfect but are within the range of a SPS dominant tank. So far I have been testing daily.

Two days ago I received a SPS pack from Vivid’s Aquarium.
-Vivids Sublime
-Vivids Four Loko
-Vivids Superfreak
-Vivids Confetti

And I bough a pice of ASD Rainbow Milli.

The pieces from Vivids Aquarium are currently in acclimation because they are coming from LED’s. But i can’t wait for these pieces to get their colors back.

A few quick pictures:

Thanks, yeah at first I was regretting from making the change to T5’s.. I always had radions or kessils, but i am actually happy with the T5’s it just takes time to get used to them.

UPDATE:
Over the weekend I picked up my corals that my friend was babysitting for me lol.
Unfortunately my friend had a ALK spike in his tank and my HW is not looking good.
Here are a few pics of the frags that have been mounted, i still have about 7 or 8 that i need to glue to the rocks.

Quick update- Quick pictures

Additions:
-Last month I decided to add a Reefbrite blue XHO strip to my ATI to give the corals an extra “pop”.
-And I added the Skims algae reactor, although it’s been hard to make my chaeto grow.

I am currently feeding 1 cube of frozen mysis and 1 cube of frozen brine shrimp every other day.
I think that the addition of the reefbrite and the addition of Aquaforest products has help me achieve good sps coloration and growth.

Feel free to ask any questions.
