Ok so this is most definitely a very stupid question. I have been researching lps because I am almost ready for lps in my tank (I’m new to this) But some of the videos of people fragging things like hammers and trumpets, it seems like they just pull out the whole colony, as if it’s not attached to the rock at all. Are they just breaking off the glue, or are you not supposed to glue the lps frags to rocks?

If glued, you can usually break it off the rock or plug. Or the plug can be broken off if glued. Usually the mariculture stuff comes on a good sized rock that can just be placed in the tank. This is the best way for keeping them in the sand or substrate. Hope that answered your question.
