I've seen where folks place acro frags directly on top of encrusting montipora. Can I do the same with setosa without it killing the entire coral? Tia

I can not say for sure, that would be an experiment that your going to have to risk :) I would try it by fraging small pieces of both corals, if it works you can name your own coral.;)

Cool idea. Following!

Keep us posted on what you do.

I did that to mine. Just make sure the acro wins against the setosa and you're fine.

I put it right on top of the back portion of the colony. The acro stung and killed it back and continues to keep it at bay.
