Hi everyone, just was hoping to get some advice on GMK as I’ve never had any. I bought a 3 polyp frag a week ago and initially put it in a frag rack under decently high light (about 200 par). It opened nicely the first day but since then only the largest polyp opens and it’s not fully open. I moved it down to the sand about 5 days ago and it still has only the main polyp about 70% open and the other polyp I can see the skirt poking through but doesn’t open. I had about 15 other types of zoas and they are all doing great. My question is should I just give it more time or move to even lower light. It hasn’t been doing any worse over the past few days just not thriving yet (and I know zoas can take a lot of time to acclimate). Thanks in advance!

Gmk depending on the strain can be really picky, most likely this one is going through light shock. I wouldn't move it anymore and try to let it get use to the tank. Usually when I know I'm going to have a iffy zoa I will start them low and in low-mod flow so they are not as stressed. Once established (usually 2 weeks or more) I will move them if I need to. Gmk for me like 100-150par, anything more than that the polyps do get brighter but they shrink and look stressed.

Thanks! Going to leave it in the lower light for a while and hope it opens up
