So...after getting bitten by the bug, and wanting to upgrade to the best tank imaginable, I went hardcore, I went extra. I went.

D e e p.

Cade is the big boy of Aussie tanks, thick glass, side panels for easy access, power boards, media boxes. All sorts of juicy stuff. I saw one in store at Reef Galleria in Melbournes CBD, and purchased it for a good price.

So far there isnt much gear attached, the skimmer is a deltec 1000i, the pump is a vectra M2. The lights will be like the Cade setup at Nature Aquariums, that is an illumagic blaze with two vitamini strips. This will be an SPS dom tank, im hoping to go mixed reef, but if its too hard im happy to stay with SPS. Not yet decided on the refugium light, but will most likely be a AI fuge.

The aquascape, I prefer a natural look, dont like a lot of archways and wiggly bits. I'm happy with this for now, i dont want it to go much higher than that. I will add little bits and bobs to give more density to it, a little bit more incline.

For stock, I need my hawkfish, Flame and falco, also a midas blenny. I....think I might get a yellow tang, undecided. I prefer lots of little movement over big fish.

Anyway, will document as stuff progresses. I also bought a reef pure RO system. Unfortunatly, im at 60 psi, I need to get a booster but nobody has anything in stock. Which is annoying. but what can ya do, melbourne is a jail and everything is a nightmare.

Peace.

Okay people. We are all up and running.

Again I went with a natural looking aquascape, primarily because im lazy garbage. I want to add pieces of rubble to the right plateau, and maybe try to carve out the center of the tallest block on the left, but overall im happy with it, tons of space for corals, and theres quite a few caves for the fish.

Equipment is...kind of on the extra side....real extra.

Vectra M2
2x Reefwave 45s.
Illumagic blaze 1200 with ghost legs
Ai Fuge with gooseneck
Deltec 1000i
Kamoer x4 pro.

The only thing im kinda unhappy with is the kamoer, the tubes are...weird, they arent standard, i dont think theyre quarter inch which is annoying, but whatever, ill make do. Also plan to get a shield for the fuge light. I do like the night time Gamer Vibes.

Stocking is currently at a one spot foxface, falco hawkfish, carpenters flasher, yellow tang. Everybody is getting along great. Bunch of trochus, a strombus, will have nassarius and hermits too.

Phosphates are at 0.03 nitrates at 30-40. I want to get them down to under 10, or even lower before i start dumping SPS in there.

Really nice set up. I am waiting on my tank to arrive. I was wondering if you could tell me if the divider of the electronics compartment is moveable?. I want to install my Apex controller but it does not look like it is deep enough for it. If I needed to move it an inch or so, could I. If you could tell me the actual depth of the electronic components department, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I dont know if you mean the mounting area where the switches are or the section where everything is plugged in, but the shelf inside the cabinet can be removed, and the depth of the mounting area is around 6cm, anything fatter than that and it wont fit.

How are you planning to hang your lights ceiling on the back of the tank because I’m trying to figure out how to mount them on the back

I have the illumagic ghost legs which go on the sides, and some people push the ATO cover foward, but I think that looks a bit uggo.
