They have 2 gold nugget maroon clownfish at my lfs for 75 each they look so cool but the owner said they fight. There in tanks right next to each other and 1 looks like it's trying to attack the other. The other one is just next to the glass chilling out. Would it be possible one is just trying to become the dominate one and I could buy them or these shouldn't be put together. Thanks for the advice

If they fight then they are likely two females and that will not work unless you have a very large tank.

Mine was the same, they fight until I put both in the fish holder for a week. Now they stop fighting
I have read about putting them In a container how does it work. Do you put them I'm for a few hours at a time or just drop them both in and leave them be

I put them in a floating container together and I thought the fighting was to much so I took the dominate one out. It tried to attack it till it got tired then started roaming the tank. Now I released the submissive fish. The dominate attacked a few times until they started swimming together for a bit then separating. they have done this a few times now. I believe they are becoming a pair.

They keep separating and fighting then come together and show signs of pairing. But they are apart more than together. They don't fight nearly as bad as when I first introduced them so it's a good sign but how long does it take for them to pair up and stop fighting should I try and put then in container again to see if that speeds it up?

Well they still don't become a pair they still fight I've been trying the female flip method but no success starting to think its 2 females they both fight with neither backing down both suffer damage wish there was a way to tell if indeed I have 2 females
