Golden pearls

Has anybody experienced build-up of brown crud on your rocks after using this stuff? I've been using it for a couple months and I've noticed it sticks to the rocks and even frag plugs. It will brush/blow off but it's a pain and ugly. I've been feeding half a teaspoon twice a week, in a 40b packed with sps.

Not specifically, but it sounds like your system might be "on edge" nutrient-wise.

Did you have some/any algae growth before starting the Golden Pearls?

Does your water test positive for nitrates or phosphates?

I fail to understand what the correlation is between nutrients and the powder adhering to the rocks. Could you please explain?

No algae before using, no3 - <2, po4 - .003.

Can you post a pic? It sounds like you're describing algae growth, but then saying the food is sticking to your rocks. (I've never heard of that.) It might help to see what you're seeing?

I can take photos, but it's brown and powdery - just like golden pearls. didn't have it before I started using the product and now I have it.
