Pretty apropos. I had just 3d printed a few new frag plug grow out options. Anyway, glued a nice red goni frag to the middle before Thanksgiving break. I'm a teacher and this was in my school system. So on Tuesday the 26th, literally minutes before leaving for a 9hr car ride, the plug base floats to the top of the tank with the goni attached. dangit! Apparently I didn't use enough infill and it had too much buoyancy. So I tried to jam it as deep into the sand bed as possible to help hold it down. Returned on Saturday and sure enough the whole think was floating on top of the water. Appeared to be some red flesh so I freed the singular plug and sunk it into the sand. Looked shot. Over the past week it appeared to get a white coating on top. I'd assumed some weird bacteria or perhaps just bleaching. Fast forward to today, about 11 days since I went out of town. I was doing some maintenance and noticed a tiny bit of red flesh. Pulled up the frag and hit it with the power head. All of this white sand? bacteria? flows away and I'm looking at nothing but red flesh. Hopeful that it's actually alive and amazed that it would be seeing as how as far as I can tell it was out of the water floating (though still saturated), from Tuesday to Saturday.
